James Hancock hails from the UK and now splits time between there and Los Angeles. For over 25 years he has been an acclaimed music producer, ghost writer, remixer & DJ.Known under different aliases throughout the years, heβs produced music in genres from rave, drum and bass, garage and house music. With a catalogue of 250+ releases on major and independent labels and two gold-selling records, James continues producing a prolific amount of high quality dance music.
A unique musical adaptability and lifelong sheer love for dance music allows him to integrate his passion and share it with the world. James has DJβed at top clubs in the UK, Europe and beyond: legendary sets at Fantazia, Cream, Dreamscape and Raindance. Eden in Ibiza and Swerve at Mr. Cβs infamous The End nightclub. Sweaty nights and ringing ears at Fabric and Ministry Of Sound. 6 AM sunrise sets at Pacha and the Funktion1 sound system at the Womb Club in Tokyo. Then of course, festival appearances at Glastonbury, Lovebox and Latitudeβ too many memorable favourites.
Under his current moniker, Grace Bones, he amasses an impressive catalogue of music releasing on major house labels. Nervous, Dopewax, Stealth, Cube, Stealth, Moxy Muzik, King Street, Snatch, Quanitze, Monki & Friends, Garage Paradise, and Plastik People amongst many others.
Radio is at the forefront of Jamesβ connection and inspiration in dance music. Heβs DJβd on BBC radio 1 / 1xtra, Kiss FM, DASH FM and co-hosted on Ministry of Sound radio.
As Grace Bones, he presently hosts βHouse of Chic Radioβ, a weekly FM radio show in London (Select 94.4 FM).
As Grace Bones he has already achieved 2 number 1 records and numerous Top 10 records. He has mixed Grammy nominated producer Junior Sanchezβs βSongprints Vol 1β album on D4dnce, curated and mixed 5 DJ albums, Sub Urban records, KMS records, Quantize recordings, S&S records and Good For You records. 2024 saw Grace sign and release 28 records, of which 5 went Top 10 and 26 Top 100 records within the House and Garage charts and remixing the legendary Chaka khan.
The energy and expansion continues for 2025 and onwards. 2 full artist albums, one forthcoming on vinyl for Kenny Dopes Dopewax records and Moxy Muzik. Grace will be curating more DJ mix albums for various labels, remixes, multiple signings already locked in a busy DJ schedule, and reveling in lifting this community. 2025 is set to be another fantastic year.
