Alun Harrison returns to the decks and mixing console after a two decade musical hiatus, bringing a wealth of experience under monikers such as Mr. Roy, MaUVe, Moonchild, and Kinetic (with Graham Simmons). Early releases included breakbeat white‑labels like Dance Floor Justice and DJ LJT featuring Kinetic. His work as Moonchild appeared on “Renaissance The Mix Compilation” by Sasha & Digweed—an iconic milestone in dance music— which he has re-recorded for re-release.
Over the years, Alun remixed tracks by K‑Klass, M.K., Faithless, Strike, Christina Aguilera, Monica, Whitney Houston, Gabrielle, Garbage, BT, and Delerium. Behind the decks he played classic 90s raves and clubs like Joy, Release The Pressure, Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, Hacienda, Club UK, and at Pacha and El Divino’s Ibiza with Kinky Malinki, and more recently at Cafe Del Mar and 93 Feet East.
Encouraged by Jay Friction (one of Kinky Malinki’s founders), Alun reignited his passion for music, reaching back into his days selecting new sounds as manager for Bluebird Records in Streatham and then Bromley. It’s here he learned to explore new music, stocking records for tastemakers like Fabio, Michael Gray, and a young Jay Friction himself.
