electronic & everything in-between.
Career Overview
Early Career:
Bill McGruddy began his
musical journey as a classical concert pianist at the age of 11.
In the Nineties, he was lead vocalist for international official tribute band to Jim Morrison and The Doors.
Electronic Music:
A prominent figure in the electronic music scene, having collaborated extensively with artist Rich Mowatt under band names Zodiac, Solarstone, Second Element & Z2. Their dance floor hit "I Want You" received BBC Radio One support from Pete Tong & Paul Van Dyke reaching number 6 in the official UK Indie charts. Bill has released music on various labels including Universal, BMG , Sony and Blackhole Recordings in the Netherlands.
Composer and Producer:
Since 2010, Bill has composed & produced music for film, television, & theatre. He also toured & recorded with his indie band, The Southern Electrics.
Radio Presenter:
A radio presenter & DJ, Bill is currently signed to Select Radio, where he hosts his weekly show We Are One, every Friday night.
Live Performer:
With over 40 years of live experience, he has performed at countless concerts and festivals, as well as many live television & radio performances.
Bill's vocal & piano performances have also featured in remixes by the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sunny Lax & Lange.
Recent Activity:
In May 2024, he began a live two-hour broadcast every Saturday from his studio in Norwich on Slick Radio.
